At Bikeworks, we believe everyone should have access to cycling for physical activity, wellbeing, and connectivity.
Bikeworks is a charitable social enterprise - all profits are reinvested back into supporting our mission.
By purchasing a cycle from Bikeworks you will be supporting us to maintain our free-to-access All Ability Clubs that engage over 3,300 disabled people, and people with health conditions, who otherwise would not benefit from the freedom and fun cycling provides.
Founded in 2006 by Jim Blakemore and Zoe Portlock, Bikeworks' mission continues to address inequalities using the cycle as a tool for good.
Having started life in the living room of our founding partners, Bikeworks has moved from location-to-location over the years, including warehouses to shop fronts.
By 2018 a key milestone was celebrated in our journey so far, when we moved into the Lee Valley VeloPark on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park In doing so this realised the vision from the original business plan, titled ‘Olympic Bikes’.
In Spring 2023 Bikeworks opened London’s first Inclusive Cycling Sales Shop overlooking the iconic Lee Valley VeloPark, to complement our on-line shop experience. Harnessing the in-person knowledge of our team while providing the opportunity to try the cycles available.
