At Bikeworks, we believe everyone has the right to ride. For nearly two decades, we’ve supported disabled people, people with long-term health conditions, and carers to experience the confidence, freedom, and wellbeing that cycling can bring.

That’s why we continue to partner with Van Raam – a specialist manufacturer whose cycles consistently meet the needs of the people we support.

Recently, we welcomed Team Van Raam back to our East London base – home to London’s first dedicated inclusive cycling showroom, located in the heart of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

Why We Partner With Van Raam

We choose Van Raam because their cycles are built with purpose. Every design detail reflects a deep understanding of real-world access needs – from comfort and stability to flexibility and ease of use. These cycles aren’t just technically excellent, they’re life-enabling – supporting people to move with confidence, control, and possibility, no matter mobility or health condition.

✅ Engineered for access – Low step-through frames, pedal assist, stable trike configurations, and comfortable seating allow for confident riding across a range of needs.

✅ Customisable by design – Modular frame options make it easier to match cycles to the individual — and adjust as needs change.

✅ Smart support systems – With the Van Raam app and other tech features, riders and carers can monitor, plan, and feel supported.

✅ Built on heritage – Backed by over 100 years of specialist Dutch engineering, Van Raam focuses exclusively on non-standard cycles for disabled people and those with long-term conditions.

“We’ve worked closely with Van Raam for many years because we trust the quality of their cycles and the values behind them. This isn’t just about providing equipment — it’s about enabling real access to cycling for people who are so often excluded from it.”
